Monel K500® Sheet & Monel K500® Plate

Monel K500® exhibits the same high corrosion resistance as Monel 400®, with greater strength and hardness. Monel K500® contains additional aluminum and titanium content, and is specially heat treated under controlled conditions to precipitate the formation of submicroscopic particles of Ni₃ (Ti, Al) throughout the matrix, making it harder and stronger. Please note that age-hardened Monel K500® has a greater tendency toward stress-corrosion cracking than Monel 400®.
 
Monel K500® sheet and Monel K500® sheet combine very low corrosion rates in high velocity seawater with high strength, making them ideal for marine applications, among many others. Monel K500® sheet and plate is also resistant to sour gas exposure.
